Peshawar Customs receives Rs55.27m more CD than allocated target

PESHAWAR: The Customs House Peshawar has collected an amount of Rs947.77million as Customs Duty against the target of Rs892.50million in the month of October during the current FY2017-18.

The Peshawar Customs has generated Rs55.27million more CD than the assigned target of 06.17 percent increase in the collection of CD.

The Collector Customs at Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar informed Customs Today on Wednesday that the MCC Peshawar has once again surpassed the target of revenue collection for which the officials of Peshawar Customs need praise and appreciation.

The Peshawar Customs has generated Rs795.07million of Sales Tax against the earmarked Target of Rs564.51million during the current FY2017-18. The MCC Peshawar has received Rs230.56million more ST against the target of ST collection with 40 percent increase during the current FY.

The Customs House Peshawar has earned Rs5.34million more Federal Excise Duty on Imports during October of current FY with 34.74 percent increase in the collection of FED on Imports.

The MCC Peshawar has got Rs20.71million FED against Rs15.37million target allocated for the collection during October of current FY2017-18.

The Customs House Peshawar has collected Rs71.51million less AIT/WHT in October of current FY with-12.69 percent decrease in the collection of With Holding Tax against the target of collection.

An amount of Rs492.20million AIT has been collected by MCC Peshawar during the current month of October in FY2017-18 against Rs563.71million assigned target for the current month of October in FY 2017-18.

Collector Customs Gul Rahman said that the duty of collection has improved from the month to month in current FY and showed an increase of Rs219.66million in the revenue Collection of October in the current FY.

The Collector Customs at the MCC Peshawar informed CT that a net total of Rs2255.75million has been collected in October against Rs2036.09million earmarked target for previous month of October.

The Peshawar Collectorate has posted an increase of 10.79 percent from the target of revenue collection which has been extraordinary achievement for the whole of the Peshawar Customs.

The Collector Customs directed the authorities to sustain the good performance of revenue collection during the current month of November to stay surplus from the target of revenue collection.
