ASO seizes goods valued Rs7.9m in last week of October

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO), Faisalabad has seized miscellaneous goods worth 7898022 in different operations during last week of October of Fiscal Year 2017-18.

Sources told Customs Today that under the supervision of Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamadani the ASO team conducted various raids against the smugglers to curb the illegal business.

The ASO team, participating in these seizure operations consisted of Superintendent Tanveer Raza Naqvi, Inspector Faizi Raza, Muhammad Munir Ahmed, Sepoys Muhammad Ashraf, Liaqat Ali, Israr Ahmad and Muhammad Abdullah.

The ASO team impounded Hino Dumper 10 wheeler Rs1,000,000 Hino Wheeler Machine Rs2,000,000 foreign origin crockery 2030 kilogram, Rs320740 tyres, tubes 1,50,000 Honda City car Rs3,00,000 auto parts 175000, tyres and filters with vehicle Rs71,6000 art silk cloth Rs4,50,000 Toyota Corolla car Rs5,00,000 foreign origin currency Rs1,430,000 and others different items Rs856282.

The ASO team seized items with section contravened of Import and Export Control Act 1950 punishable under Section 156(i) 89(i) and 90 of the Custom Act 1969 and forwarded the cases to the Customs Adjudication further proceedings.
