ASO Peshawar impounds 18 vehicles worth Rs56.92m during six days of November

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Smuggling Organization of the Customs Collectorate Peshawar took into possession 18 vehicles valued at Rs56.92million during 9th to 15th of November’s Fiscal Year 2017-18.

According to details given by Fazli Shakoor, Deputy Collector, Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Peshawar, that, during above said period, the ASO showed outstanding performance against the tax evaders and smugglers. During 9th to 15th of November FY17-18, the ASO Peshawar impounded 16 offending vehicles during different raids which value at Rs35.7million.
Deputy Collector further told CT that, during above said period, the ASO Peshawar took into possession two Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicles worth Rs6.8million whereas it seized foreign origin goods priced at Rs14.42million.
Fazli Shakoor told Customs Today that the ASO Peshawar is working above the standard under the supervision of Gul Rehman, Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar. He said that the ASO Peshawar is working 24/7 to promote the legal business and take strict action against the tax evaders within the region.
