AFU Islamabad surpasses allocated target by earning Rs10.53m during 23 days

ISLAMABAD: Under the dynamic leadership of Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad, the Air Freight Unit Islamabad has exceeded the entire month’s (November) revenue target under all the heads during first 23 days of November’s Financial Year 2017-18.

This was stated by Nisar Ahmad Phullerwan, Additional Collector Air Freight Unit Islamabad, while talking with Customs Today.

He said there are still remaining five working days whereas the AFU has surpassed the monthly assigned Customs Duty (CD), Sales Tax (ST) and Income Tax (IT).
He said the collectorate was allocated a revenue collection target of Rs228.61million as CD for a complete month of November’s Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 while the AFU earned surplus amount of Rs239.14million of CD during 23 days of November’s FY17-18. He added that the AFU generated Rs10.53million extra revenue against the earmarked revenue target for said month under the same head.
Additional Collector told CT that the AFU was assigned a revenue collection target of Rs251.53million of ST for the whole month of November’s FY 2017-18 while the AFU received a surplus amount of Rs369.59million of ST during 23 days of November’s FY17-18. He was informed that the AFU collected Rs118.06million extra revenue during first 23 days of November’s FY17-18 against the earmarked target for the month.
Nisar Ahmad believed that the AFU Islamabad was assigned a revenue collection target of Rs127.58million as IT for the entire period of November’s FY 2017-18 whereas the AFU earned a surplus amount of Rs186.98million as IT during 23 days of November’s FY17-18. He further added that the AFU generated Rs59.4million extra revenue against the allocated revenue target for the current month under the same head.
