Customs Exports recovers Rs 6.13m from M/s Rozeena Traders

KARACHI: The Customs Exports has recovered evaded taxes and duties amounting to Rs 6.13 million from defaulter companies which were issued with notices to pay the outstanding dues.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of the import data, it was revealed that M/s Rozeena Traders Hyderabad availed undue benefits and concessions by importing different consignments and misusing the SRO 467.

The company founded involved in a tax evasion of Rs 3.68 million. After detecting tax evasion, the Customs Exports issued them with final notice on November 27, 2017 to deposit the evaded amount within 14 days. After receiving the notice, the management of M/s Rozena Traders deposited the evaded amount in the official account of the Customs Exports on December 8.

On the other hand, the management of the M/s Delawar Aluminum and manufacturing Limited Karachi also cleared Rs 2.45 million of taxes and duties. Sources said the M/s Delawar Aluminum and manufacturing Ltd Karachi also availed undue benefits and concessions and avoided paying taxes according to the customs bylaws.

The Customs Exports authorities issued them with a final notice on November 29, 2017. After receiving the notice, the management of the Delawar Aluminum and manufacturing Ltd Karachi deposited the evaded amount of taxes.
