‘Sarwat is a motivating force and compassionate for her colleagues’

ISLAMABAD: Sarwat Tahira Habib, Chief Collector North Region, has a great quality to motivate her customs staff. She has been always compassionate towards her colleagues and customs officials working under her command during her era as Chief Collector North Region.

This was stated by Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector Model customs Collectorate, while talking to guests and customs staff on the occasion of a farewell given by him.

The newly appointed Chief Collector, North Region, Jawad Awais Agha, said Sarwat Tahira Habib is a determined customs officer. She interacted with him on many occasions at the Federal Board of Revenue. Owais said he seeks advices from Sarwat as she makes great efforts for her organization. She proposed many new projects and implemented them in North Region, especially Gilgit-Baltistan and Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar. He thanked Collector MCC Islamabad for the warm welcome given to him at the Islamabad Collectorate as Chief Collector North.
Ali Raza, Collector MCC GB, during his address, said Chief Collector Sarwat took many new initiatives for the GB. He added that She is very vibrant about the revenue generation of GB. She is providing a leading role in the development of the Collectorate of GB in terms of constructive uplift at the collectorate. “Whenever we met her, she reflected with highly professional aptitude”, he opined. Under her leadership, the GB achieved all the assigned revenue targets, he remarked.
Speaking at the event, Saeed Jadoon, Collector MCC Islamabad, said the Chief Collector always guided him to perform as Collector MCC Islamabad. She is very soft and a kind hearted customs officer, he said.

Chief Collector Jawad Awais Agha hoped that, under the leadership of newly appointed Chief Collector North, the collectorate shall achieve its assigned targets.
Additional Collector MCC Islamabad Nisar Ahmen Phullerwan and Nelofer praised the outgoing Chief Collector North, Sarwat Tahira, and welcomed the newly appointed Chief Collector Jawad Agha at North Region.
During her address, Sarwat Tahir said the customs staff of the North is like a family for her. She added that in 1988 she came here at Islamabad and lay the foundation of this collectorate. She advised the customs officers to work hard as she did in her tenure.

She named Ali Razi, Jadoon and Qurban Ali Khan who proved themselves brilliant Collectors of North Region. She praised the abilities of newly appointed Chief Collector Jawad Agha who is a competent and wonderful officer of the Customs Department. She remarked that new Chief Collector Jawad Agha is a initiative taking person.

At the end of her speech, she prayed for the department and asked the customs staffers to remember her in their prayers.
