ADB-funded plan launched: Mansha

SIALKOT: Provincial Minister for Local Government and Community Development Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt has said the government was making adequate efforts to ensure basic amenities to masses at their doorstep.

Talking to a delegation of representatives union council Mainapura, he disclosed that with the financial assistance of Asian Development Bank, a comprehensive programme costing US 2.6 billion dollar had been initiated in Sialkot.

Under the programme, special attention would be focused on water supply, transport management and sewer lines, he added.

Mansha further said that urban planning would be prepared in accordance with international standard for launching Intermediate cities project in Sialkot and Sahiwal districts to facilitate masses.
