Ahsan says govt making efforts for economic stability

SIALKOT: Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that the government was making efforts to ensure political and economic stability as well as peace in the country.

Addressing a meeting of the party workers in Narowal, interior minister added that the PML-N government had ended the darkness by spreading the light of national development, progress and prosperity. He said political and economical stability was vital for establishing durable peace .

He said that the world was acknowledging the sincere efforts and sacrifices of Pakistan against terrorism, adding that the nation stands united against terrorism and is ready to sacrifice even their lives to defend every inch of the Motherland.

Meanwhile, the police have further tightened the security at all the churches in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils for X-mass. The police have been put on red alert as the policemen and personnel of the law enforcing agencies were keeping a vigilant eye on the dubious persons.

The Christian community will celebrate the X-mass Day with traditional zeal, enthusiasm and religious fervor in Sialkot district. They have decorated and illuminated all the churches in Sialkot district. The day will dawn with special prayers for national peace , progress, prosperity as well. The Christians will also distribute sweets and exchange the X-mass gifts as well.
