GILGIT-BALTISTAN: The Customs Collectorate of Gilgit-Baltistan collected Rs193million extra revenue of all duties and taxes during five months and three weeks of December Fiscal Year 2017-18 against a revenue collection during the same period of corresponding FY2016-17 under the same head.
According to details explained by Akbar Jan, Deputy Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), that it earned Rs2327million of revenue as all taxes during five months and three weeks of December Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 against a revenue collection of Rs2134million during the same period of previous Fiscal Year 2016-17 under the same head.
Akbar told Customs Today that, during the period of FY17-18, the GB received Rs921million of CD while it did Rs995million under the same head during the same period of corresponding FY16-17. He added that the GB generated Rs1025million as Sales Tax (ST) during five months plus three weeks of FY17-18 whereas it did Rs821million under the same head during the same period of previous FY16-17.
The Deputy Collector notified CT that the GB got Rs380million of Income Tax (IT) during five months plus three weeks of FY17-18 while it did Rs317million under the same head during the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
Akbar Jan told the correspondent that the GB showed 9.07% growth in revenue collection of five months and three weeks of FY17-18 against the same period of FY16-17 under all the heads.
