Customs North Region receives comparatively Rs33.62m more Customs Duty

ISLAMABAD: The Customs North Region earned an extra revenue of Rs33.62million as CD during first week of January of Financial Year 2017-18 against a revenue collection of the same period of corresponding FY16-17.

According to details given by sources of Customs North Region, which comprises Collectorates of Islamabad, Peshawar, Sambrial and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), that, during first week of January FY17-18, the North received Rs253.30million of Customs Duty (CD) against a revenue collection of Rs219.68million under the same head during the same period of FY16-17.
The Collectorate of Islamabad has generated Rs113.19million as CD during FY17-18 while it collected Rs164.14million under the same head during first week of January FY16-17.
The Collectorate of Peshawar has got Rs178.48million of CD during first week of January FY17-18 while it earned Rs52.48million under the same head during the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
The Collectorate of Samberial has generated Rs-38.33million as CD during first week of January FY 17-18 against a revenue collection of Rs3.06million under the same head during first week of previous January fY16-17.

The North has collected Rs2090.44million extra revenue during first half of FY17-18 under the head of CD against the same corresponding period of FY16-17. During first half, the North Region got Rs8102.24million of CD while it did Rs6011.80million under the same head during the same period of previous first half of FY16-17.
