Customs Accompanied Baggage frustrates 15 smugglings valued at Rs43m in first half of 2017-18

ISLAMABAD: The AB Section of the MCC Islamabad seized 15 smugglings worth Rs43million during the first half of Fiscal Year 2017-18.

According to details explained by Ali Asad, Assistant Collector, Accompanied Baggage (AB) Islamabad, during the first half (July to December) FY17-18, the AB performed very efficiently by confiscating 15 different cases of smuggling goods.
He said the AB impounded one case of antiques, one case of ice heroin, two cases of smuggling gold and the other seizures of currency and cell phones. The AB Section of the MCC Islamabad, under the supervision of Saeed Khan Jadoon, received a revenue of Rs17million during the first half of FY17-18.
The AB Section has been well operational as it demonstrated a sufficient performance during the first half of FY17-18. The AB Section is expected to perform well during the upcoming 3rd Quarter (January to March) FY17-18.
