Multan Adjudication adjourns hearing of smuggled White Spirit case

MULTAN: Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain adjourned the seizure case of 60,000 liters White Spirit smuggling case for three days.

According to details, Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization seized huge quantity of smuggled White Spirit along with Hino oil tanker from Vehari Chowk Multan region in their action. Anti-Smuggling Organization squad was deployed at various points to capture smuggle oil tanker and enhance the monitoring of the goods. Multan customs intercepted the suspected oil tanker filled with white spirit near Vehari Chowk Multan.

Defense Counsel Malik Khalid argued in the favor of respondents Rao Waseem Shehzad and maintained that said White Spirit Oil was legally cleared and they presented the invoice of seized oil during hearing and informed Additional Collector that huge quantity of White Spirit Oil was released of same importer on the directions of Sindh High Court.

He requested Customs Adjudication to release said White Spirit. Anti-Smuggling Organization asked Customs Adjudication that the said oil was smuggled one and accused bail was also cancelled by Customs special judge after trial.

Additional Collector Talib Hussain directed Anti-Smuggling Organization to conduct chemical laboratory examination of said White spirit to determine whether it is smuggled one or not. The hearing of said case was adjourned for three days.
