Customs Tribunal reserves judgments of three cases out of 15 ones

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal (single and double) Bench heard 15 cases on Thursday and adjourned all for different dates except three ones whose verdicts were reserved and which are expected to be announced soon.

The Single Bench-I, comprising Muhammad Shabbir Gujjar, Member Judicial, heard eight cases including Muhammad Amin versus Customs Mulnta, Muhammad Nawaz versus Customs Lahore, Directorate Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad versus Azeem Nasir, Sungro Private DG Khan versus Customs Multan.

The same bench heard further cases which include Khurram Saeed versus Customs Lahore, Ahmed Fine Textile versus Customs Multan, Collector Customs Lahore versus Abrab Aslam and Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore versus Suleman.

The Division Bench-II, comprising Omer Arshad Hakeem, Member Judicial, and Imran Tariq, Member Technical, heard seven cases versus Muhammad Amin, H Ali Constructions versus Customs Lahore, Scale Tech versus Customs Lahore, Meena Brokely versus Customs Lahore, A Z Apparel versus Customs Faisalabad and Marine World versus Customs Lahore.

Last day, the tribunal heard cases of Habib Ullah versus Customs Faisalabad, Orient Coating & Finishing Mills versus Customs Faisalabad and Syed Muhammad and Sons Trading versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.

The Special Division Bench-I of the tribunal had heard detailed arguments from parties and reserved verdicts in three appeals.
