SHC seeks report in a petition filed by Asad Trading Company

KARACHI: An appellate bench Sindh High Court (SHC) Friday fixed Feb 23 in a petition seeking release of miscellaneous goods filed by Asad Trading Company.

The bench said that 100 per cent duty and taxes have been paid by the petitioner as there was no difference between the declared value and differential.

A counsel appearing for the Pakistan Customs Appraisement, West said that department has no objection over release of the consignment. The consignment would be released whenever petitioner approaches the department, the counsel said.

The bench then put of further hearing till Feb 23 seeking a report that whether the consignment is release or not.

The same bench also ordered preparation of Post Shipment Inspection report in respect of an Asphalt Paver machine so that it could be released like the ones released under a judgment dated Jan 24 in identical petitions. The petition was fild by Falcon Heavy Private Limited.
