FBR starts auditing Ali Tareen’s income

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reportedly begun its investigation into the income sources of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Tareen who is the son of disqualified lawmaker Jehangir Tareen.

According to a report, the FBR summoned the details of assets held by Tareen during 2012. FBR issued a notice to acquire details of all assets of Ali Tareen from 2012.

On Saturday, FBR had summoned details of Ali Tareen’s assets as his name appeared in Panama Papers.

The FBR initiated the audit of the income of Tareen after he contested and lost the Lodhran by-election from NA-154 and his father was disqualified by the Supreme Court.
