Customs Appellate Tribunal reserves two judgments, postpones hearing of 18 cases

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal (Single and Double Bench) heard 20 cases and adjourned all for different dates without those cases whose verdicts were reserved. The verdicts of two appeals were reserved to pass the final order.

The Division Bench-II, comprising Omer Arshed Hakeem, Member Judicial and Saud Imran, Member Technical, heard 11 cases including Collector Custom Lahore Muhammad Nasar, Collector Customs Lahore versus R H Traders, Salman Butt versus Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Lahore, Collector Customs Lahore versus Khuram Azhar, counsel’s two appeals versus Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Lahore.

The same bench heard appeals of directorate of intelligence & Intelligence Faisalabad versus Abdul Rehman, Supreme Tube versus Customs Lahore, Muhammad Umer versus directorate of intelligence & Intelligence Lahore, Sardar Ali versus Customs Faisalabad, Raza Ali Shah versus directorate of intelligence & Intelligence Lahore Faisalabad.

The Double Bench-I, comprising Justice Retired Malik Manzoor Hussain, Member Judicial and Saud Imran, Member Technical, heard nine cases including Diamond Fabrics versus Collector Customs Faisalabad, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman versus Collector Customs Faisalabad, Ice Age Industries versus Diretor I & I Lahore, Collector Customs Faisalabad versus Chenab Limited, Mubashir Abbas versus Collector Customs Faisalabad, Muhamamd Iqbal versus Collector Customs Faisalabad and SAF PVC against Collector Customs Lahore.
