Faisalabad ASO seizes 388 crates of NDP Rani Juice

FAISALABAD: The Anti Smuggling Organization has confiscated 388 crates of foreign origin Rani Juice being smuggled from Karachi into Faisalabad. The expiry date of the seized juice is 29-3-2018 while market value of the juice is Rs1,80,000 involving customs duty and taxes of Rs140,000.

Sources told Customs Today, that Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamadani directed the Anti-Smuggling Organization about the smuggling of Rani juice. After receiving this information Assistant Collector immediately constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Tanveer Raza Naqvi, Inspector Hafiz Muhammad Waqas Sepoy Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Anwar, Zulifqar Ali.

The team asked Hafiz Muhammad Ansab about the legal status of the goods. But he could not prove the legal documents of the imported goods. So ASO team seized the juice and registered a case of smuggling against the accused persons.
