Customs Appellate Tribunal concludes hearing of three appeals

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal (single and double bench) on Thursday heard 27 cases and adjourned all for different dates without those cases whose verdicts were reserved. The verdicts of two appeals were reserved to pass the final order.

The Division Bench-II, comprising Omer Arshed Hakeem, Member Judicial and Imran Tariq, Member Technical, heard 17 cases including Sugi Private Limited against Customs Lahore, Maple Leaf Cement versus Customs Faisalabad, Collector Customs Lahore versus Khurram Azhar, Supreme Tube versus Customs Lahore, Jahingir Khan versus Customs Faisalabad.

The same bench heard appeals of Fazalur Rehman versus Customs Faisalabad, Jahan Zeb versus Customs Faisalabad, Muhammad Tariq Shiekh versus Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Lahore, Master Link versus Customs Lahor, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Faisalabad versus Abdul Rehman, Sakhawat Ali versus Customs Lahore, Khan Baba Silk versus Customs Lahore, Habibur Rehman versus Customs Sambrial, Solar Tech Private Limited versus Customs Lahore and SMD Sons versus directorate of intelligence & Intelligence Faisalabad.

The double bench-I, comprising Justice ® Malik Manzoor Hussain, Member Judicial and Imran Tariq, Member Technical, heard five cases including Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Multan versus SM Food Makers, Zulifqar Ali Anjum versus Collector Customs Lahore, Tahir Sharief versus Customs Lahore, Pak Afghan Clearing Agent versus Collector Customs Lahore and Pak Tractor House versus Collector Customs Lahore.

Ghulam Shabbir Gujjar, member judicial bench-I heard five cases including Collector Customs Lahore versus Zulfiqar, Muhammad Aslam Khan versus Collector Customs Lahore, Yasir Trading Company versus Collector Customs Appraisment, Director Post Clearance (PCA) Lahore versus Bashir Impex and Julfiqar Ali versus Collector Customs Lahore.
