Additional Collector Nisar briefs delegation about assessment & examination procedure of AFU

ISLAMABAD: The Customs officials of AFU welcomed foreign delegation after attending two day seminar on international export control in Pakistan held by Strategic Export Control Division (SECDIV).

According to details the delegation was welcomed by Additional Collector Nisar Ahmad Phularwan. A short briefing on export control was given by Deputy Collector Export Saleha Zakir. After the briefing, the delegation was showed all the export control procedures physically.

Talking to Customs Today deputy collector said that delegation was informed about multi-times assessment and examination process whereas the delegation was also sensitized about the National Nuclear Detection Automation (NNDA) and the Radio Portal Monitor installed at the AFU Islamabad.

She said that during the briefing on Radio Portal Monitor (RPM) the delegation was told that this is first RPM for any airways unit in Pakistan. The delegation further told that portal has been donated by Strategic Plan Division (SPD). The delegation was taken to the export shed SAPS where they were shows examination of export cargoes.

Deputy Collector Exports told that the delegates took special interest in various detection equipment and requested to AFU for demonstration of XRF machine on surgical equipment after that the delegates served tea and refreshment which was arranged by the AFU Export Islamabad. At the end the delegates were gifted traditional shawls as a souvenir.
