FIU Sarai Muhajir impounds NDP Hino truck valued Rs 5m

SARAI MUHAJIR: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Field Investigation Unit (FIU)of Sarai Muhajir on Tuesday has impounded a non duty paid Hino truck with registration no LES-12-7741 model 19947 worth Rs 5 million involving customs duty and taxes of Rs 2.9 million.

Sources told Customs Today, that Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat received a tip off about the non duty paid vehicles which are plying on roads. He constituted a team comprising of Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Mansoor Nasir, Ansar Saleemi, Adnan Ahmed Chandia Intelligence Officer (IO) Mukhtar Ahmed, Muhammad Usman Iqbal, Fakhar Abbas Sepoy.
