Collector Adjudication Seema Raza summons M/s Ittehad Customs Agency on 30th

ISLAMABAD: Collector Customs Adjudication Seema Raza Bukhari has summoned M/s Ittehad Customs Agency TF-131 in contravention case No. 203/2018 of evading surcharge of Rs4.2 million.

Failing to appear before the Collector Adjudication panel action will be taken under section 56(1)(9) (14)of the Customs Act 1969.

According to show-cause notice no. Cus/Coll/Adj/57/2018 issued by Collector Customs Adjudication, it was reported that Directorate of Internal Audit (Customs) while conducting audit of the car cell of Customs Dry port Peshawar for FY 2013-14 has pointed out that M/s Ittehad  Customs Agency TF-131 Peshawar Vide GD no. HC -80 dated 21.09.2013 cleared Toyota Hiace Van Model 2007 imported on the name of Sher Alam (Passport no. AT753221) by paying surcharge Rs121,786 against leviable amount of Rs4.2 million by violating the provision of section 16,(32A)  of Customs Act, 1969 and section 3 of Import Export  (Control) Act 1950.

The notice issued Collector Adjudication Seema Raza Bukhari called M/s Ittehad Customs Agency TF-131 and Sher Alam in contravention case no. 203/2018 on dated 30 May to appear before the collector to show cause as to why the evade amount of duty/taxes amounting Rs. 4.2 million should not be recovered and why penal action should not be taken against the accused in case of failing to appear before the Collector on the fix date.
