Customs Preventive impounds nine non duty paid luxury vehicles on Thursday

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive has impounded nine non customs paid luxury vehicles worth over 40 million.

Sources told Customs Today  the ASO car cell scout consisting Inspectors Maratab Mushataq and Sajjad Bukhari on the direction of Additional Collector Tayba Kayani under the supervision of Deputy Collector Muhammad Moazzam Raza, Superintendent Nasir Tara, Agha Qadeer intercepted suspicious luxury vehicles and detained nine as the non-customs paid.

The car scout held pickets at the entrances and exit points of the city and were able to impound vehicles including Toyota Hilux Serf 1998 model, Toyota Premio car model 2004, Toyota Corolla Model 2002, Toyota Crown Model 2006, Mustbushi Pajero model 1996, Toyota Corolla 1995, Toyota Corolla 2000, Toyota Fiber 2010, Jaguar 2005, Toyota Surf, 1996, Dumper truck and Honda Accord 2003.  The ASO car cell holding pickets at in and around of the city also worked jointly with the Punjab Police anti-car lifting scout and impounded three luxury cars.

The official sources said that the luxury vehicles after laboratory test have been shifted to the state warehouse for further proceedings.
