Sargodha ASO confiscates smuggled cylinders diesel engine

SARGODHA: The Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organization seized three pieces of smuggled cylinder worth Rs4,00,000 involving duty and taxes Rs1,75,000 in an action.

Sources told Customs Today, the ASO team following the instruction of Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig conducted raid in the region to curb smuggling under the supervision of Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad.

The team recovered three pieces of foreign origin used cylinders diesel engine near bus stand Sargodha. These items are being transported from Lahore to Sargodha through M/s Sadat Goods Forwarding Agency.

The officials asked the driver Muhammad Shahzad to produce the documents showing the legal import of the cylinder diesel engine but he remained fail on which custom seized the items under prevailing customs law.

The ASO team comprising Superintendent Sardar Muhammad, Inspector Malik Atif Mumtaz, Bashir Ahmed, Sepoy Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Mansha and others participated in the raid.
