MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation generated Rs14.23 million from the confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods from last auction of the Fiscal Year 2017-18.
According to the details, Customs Intelligence and Investigation held final public auction of economic year of seized miscellaneous goods and vehicles in Rajapur Office near Khanewal Road. Confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods were seized in their different field operations in the jurisdiction.
There were 15 various smuggled vehicles of different brands and models presented for the open sale in auction. Huge number of bidders participated in the auction process for bidding of smuggled vehicles and goods in the Customs Intelligence Office.
As many as 13 seized vehicles were sold out successfully in Rs12.4 million during auction. These auctioned vehicles included Toyota Premio, Toyota Hilux Surf, Totota Corolla Surf, Suzuki Mitsubishi Jeep, Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla, Suzuki Jimny Jeep, Toyota Civic Hybrid, Toyota Corolla Axio, Suzuki pick up and others. Remaining two vehicles of Hino Ranger trucks were not sold in auction because their owners had taken stay order from high court against their auction.
Customs Intelligence presented five various lots of miscellaneous goods including foreign origin bed sheets, HTV tyres, iron srcap, Iran origin chocolates, cosmetic products and others. Customs sold out three lots of miscellaneous goods in Rs1.83 during public sale.
Deputy Director Khial Muhammad Khan and Senior Intelligence Officer Malik Muhammad Nasir supervised the whole auction process along with staff to ensure transparency.
