Collector Adjudication Seema Raza seeks status of stay order granted to M/s Pepsi Cola Int’l Ltd

ISLAMABAD: Collector Customs Adjudication Seema Raza Bukhari directed to replace lawyer who is representing the department in a case of M/s Pepsi Cola International (Pvt) Limited. The stay was granted by Islamabad High Court regarding contravention cases of incorrect classification of odoriferous substances-based mixtures.

Collector Adjudication Seema Raza Bokhari asked the collector to provide update information regarding contravention cases against M/s Pepsi Cola.

The adjudication proceedings in four show-cause notices dated 29-9-2015, 28-10-2015 and 29-10-2015 against Pepsi Cola are held up before Adjudication Islamabad on account of stay granted by the honorable Islamabad High Court in writ petition No.115/2016 filed by M/s Pepsi Cola.

The stay was originally granted on 14-01-2016 against show-cause proceedings with the observation that the said stay would be applicable up to next hearing. Later on the honorable court maintained the extended relief vide order dated 24.11.2016. It noted that out of the cases above one has been reported by PCA Lahore.
