Quetta Customs impounds luxury vehicles, Iranian diesel during crackdown

QUETTA: After the directives of Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), crackdown continues against illegal private show rooms and illegal mini petrol pumps.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Ashraf Ali formed special anti-smuggling teams under the supervision of Additional Collector Zubair Shah and Deputy Collector Maqbool Baloch alongwith SSP (Operation) Police Naseebullah Khan leaded this crackdown personally.

Sources told that more than dozens number of uxurious non customs paid vehicles were taken into custody. Police alongwith other law enforcement agencies FC also assisted customs authorities.

Sources told that this non-customs paid vehicles mafia is consisted on unscrupulous elements who are also taking the advantage of meager staff of customs vast area of province and annexed two border with Iran and Afghanistan having thousands of miles.

Meanwhile 25000 liters of foreign Iranian origin diesel were also taken into custody by customs mobile squad near Dasht area.

It is also necessary to mention here that Collector Ashraf Ali appreciated ADC Zubair Shah and Deputy Collector Maqbool Baloch alongwith the rest of team. Superintendent Maqsood Durrani, Muhammad Aslam Khan, Inspectors Shahzad Akhtar, Naseer Shaheen, Jameel Kakar, Ghulam Hussain Khoso, Yousaf Notezai, Essa Khan, Shabir Khan, and take part in the operation.
