FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) has earned Rs 3.9 million through auction of seized items which were seized during different anti-smuggling activities.
As per details, Customs Intelligence conducted auction of 27 different lots while seven lots attracted suitable bid while the remaining 20 lots were rejected by the bidders.
Customs Intelligence sold a lot comprising foreign origin cloth worth Rs 178200, Nissan X trail Rs 1856800 foreign origin tyres Rs165000, ball bearing to the tune of Rs 165000 AC compressor TS 308000 used carpets worth 231000 and welding rods against Rs1,87,000. Sources said that auction of non duty paid goods and vehicle helped to generate revenue to meet revenue collection target.
