Multan Customs generates Rs.1.185 million through auction

MULTAN: Customs Collectorate generated Rs1.185 million through auction of non-duty paid vehicles and miscellaneous goods.

According to details, Multan Customs Collectorate held monthly auction August for disposal of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization in anti-smuggling operations.

Multan Customs offered five lots of confiscated vehicles for public sale including Toyota Land Cruiser, Prado jeep and four Toyota Premio vehicles during auction.

Toyota Premio was sold out successfully in approximately one million during auction. Toyota Land Cruiser, TX Prado and threeToyota Premio of different models were rejected due to fewer price offered from bidders in the auction than average price of confiscated vehicles.

Multan Customs offered 79 lots of electronic, auto parts, miscellaneous items including foreign origin cloths, cell phones, CCTV cameras, LCDs, engines, spare parts, new bumper of LTV, gear leave and other miscellaneous goods. But more than 70 lots of miscellaneous goods were not auctioned due to less bid offered by bidders during auction. Assistant Collector Muhammad Ikram supervise the auction at Multan Dry Port to ensure transparency.
