Rs100m heroin smuggling: Court records statements of two more persons

LAHORE: Sessions Court Additional Session Judge Shahid Bashir Chaudhary has recorded statements of two more persons that were indirectly attached with the lady smuggler who was arrested in heroin smuggling attempt at Lahore airport.

According to details available to Customs Today the session court recorded statements of two persons including neighbor of the house where Treza was living in Wapda Town Gujranwala and one person who arranged accommodation for her on rent. The court recorded statement of owner of the house Muhammad Shehzad and a property dealer Muhammad Hafeez as well.

While on other hand the court had issued arrest warrants of two customs officials who are witnesses in a famous case of a Czech Republican model who was booked red handed while making attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of heroin worth of Rs100 million in international market.

On hearing on Tuesday court also recorded statement of one official of customs Inspector Din Muhammad of customs traffic section.

In previous hearing court recorded the statements of three customs employees in heroin smuggling case and the case has adjourned for nexr hearing. Customs court has strictly directed the customs officials to make sire presence of new witnesses before the court in nexr hearing for recording of statements.

It is necessary to mention here, accused Czech lady and his facilitator Shoaib Hafeez were also present in court hearing. Customs officials were summoned by the court to record their statements.

Earlier the court had directed the customs to make sure presence of the witness but they were not present in the court consecutively for third hearing so court adjourned the recording of statements for next hearing. In last hearing court was not able to record statements because of shortage of time.

It is necessary to mention here that a Czech woman 21-year-old Tereza Hzulkova, while carrying nine kilogram of heroin was arrested at the Allama Iqbal International Airport. The Czech lady adopted the stance that she came to visit Pakistan for modeling purpose and don’t know that heroin is hidden in her bag
