In Sri Lanka -CID, Customs deploy officials in mufty to arrest contraband

CID arrested an inbound Sri Lanka passenger from New Delhi who came out after Customs clearance at BIA with 20kg ( Approx worth Rs 130 million) of Gold stitched to his cloth this morning.

This follows the discussion held by the Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mr. Mangala Samaraweera with DIG of the CID and Customs DG to map out ways and means to detect contrabands being brought to the country resulting in loss of revenue to the State.
