Multan RTO collects Rs2b from corporate companies

MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) has made revenue collection of more than Rs.2 billion in two days 28th and 29th September, it learnt here.

Official sources told Customs Today, that Regional Tax Office has stepped up the revenue tax collection on 28th and 29th September 2018-19. Source told that Multan tax authorities it made huge collection on these two days for accomplishment of their assigned revenue target of March.

The Federal Board of Revenue assigned revenue collection target of Rs18 billion to Regional Tax Office for the month of September 2018-19.

The Regional Tax Office Multan made tax collection of Rs580 million from Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) in these two days. Regional Tax Office has collected Rs30 million due taxes from M/s Asia Poultary.

Multan tax authorities collected Rs600 million from M/s Bank Al-Habib Limited under the head of advance income tax. M/s Pak Arab Fertilizer Company Limited deposited tax amount of Rs470 million to tax authorities on second last day of September. M/s Shamim and Company has also deposited sales tax amount of Rs.30 million before the end of September.

M/s Suncrop has also deposited almost Rs30 million taxes under different heads before the end of September. Regional Tax Office Multan is making full efforts for the tax collection from various corporate companies and tax collection from various companies will continue late Saturday and Sunday to facilitate taxpayers in the jurisdiction.
