Multan Customs collects Rs2657.917m during month of September

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs collected Rs2657.917 million during the month of September 2018-19.

According to details, Customs Collectorate was assigned Rs3117 million revenue collection target under the head of different duty & taxes for month of September 2018-19.

The Collectorate collected Rs760.248 million against the assigned revenue target of Rs892 million under the head of customs duty for September. Almost 85 percent of the assigned target has been attained by the Multan Customs during the month of September. Multan Customs was able to collect Rs482.09 million during the corresponding period of September 2017-18.

Collectorate of Customs made collection of Rs1866.33 million against assigned task of Rs2203 million in wake of sales tax for September 2018-19. Multan Customs collected almost 84.71% collection against collection task.

The Collectorate generated revenue of Rs16.48 million against the assigned target of Rs.12 million in wake of federal excise duty (FED) in the month of September. Multan Customs posted 37 % growth in the collection of federal excise duty (FED) in September. While Customs Collectorate collected Rs11.107 million under the head of federal excise duty (FED) during the corresponding period of the fiscal year 2017-18.

Multan Customs collected Rs14.86 million against set task of Rs10 million under the head of withholding tax during September 2018-19. It posted almost 48 % growth in collection of withholding tax during September. While it made revenue collection of Rs.9.201 million in wake of withholding tax in the corresponding period of September 2018-19.

However, Customs Multan has missed the assigned collection duty target during the September due to Ashura holidays of Muharram.
