Customs I&I recovers non-duty paid chassis frames, printing material

LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) teams recovered five smuggled chassis frame and printing material during two separate raids.

Sources told Customs Today, that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Rubab Sikandar received secret information about smuggling of goods. She constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Mohammad Sarwar, Intelligence Officer Zulfiqar Ali Dogar, Sohail Murtaza and Nadeem Ahsan.

The team raided on a godown of M/s Ahmad Traders which is located on Outfall Road and recovered huge quantity of non-duty paid printing material. Sources told that during another raid Customs I&I team intercepted a truck near Sabzi Mandi and recovered five non-duty paid chassis frames of Land Cruiser and Jamini jeep. Sources told that these frames were being transported to Swat.

It is necessary to mention here that these frames are being used for manufacturing of vehicles. Customs teams arrested driver of the vehicle and after registering separate cases started investigations.
