Hyderabad Customs collects Rs885.252m during September

HYDERABAD: Collectorate of Customs collected Rs885.352 million  customs duty (CD) during the  month of September 2018 against the assigned target of Rs881 million during the month of September.

Sources told Customs Today, that from July to September 2018-19 ASO impounded 15 non-duty paid vehicles diesel, 144.000 liters narcotics, 188 kilograms (charas) and other goods. The market value of the seized goods is Rs330 million.

The Collectorate collected revenue through Hyderabad Dry Port, Directorate Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Sukkur and Larkana Divisions, Hyderabad  State Ware, M/s Rema Cooking Oil, DTRE  KPR (Zero Point).

Collector Khalid Hussain Jamali, Additional Collector (HQ) Dr Aamer Nawaz Hamid  , Deputy Collector Syed Kareem, Additional Deputy Collector Kaleemullah Sukkur  and other officers played an important role in revenue collection.

Sources told that the said the anti-smuggling campaign was in full swing in the region following the direction of the Federal Board of Revenue and Collector Khalid Hussain Jamali to streamline the national economy.
