Customs, FIA start crackdown against sale of DTH technology

LAHORE: Customs, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pakistan Electronics & Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) constituted a joint task force after suo-moto notice of Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar against illegal sale of DTH technology in Pakistan.

Sources told Customs Today that on 26.09.2018, a task force comprising Customs, FIA and PEMRA officials raided different shops located on Hall Road and recovered 37 receivers from M/s Turk Satellite, 37 pieces of DTH technology from M/s Super Fast Electronics, 23 pieces from M/s Amir Latif & Sons. 43 from M/s Shaheen Electronics, 57 LNB pieces from another shop.
