LAHORE: Customs, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pakistan Electronics & Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) constituted a joint task force after suo-moto notice of Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar against illegal sale of DTH technology in Pakistan.
Sources told Customs Today that on 26.09.2018, a task force comprising Customs, FIA and PEMRA officials raided different shops located on Hall Road and recovered 37 receivers from M/s Turk Satellite, 37 pieces of DTH technology from M/s Super Fast Electronics, 23 pieces from M/s Amir Latif & Sons. 43 from M/s Shaheen Electronics, 57 LNB pieces from another shop.
Sources told that all Customs Collectorates are directed to adopt zero tolerance policy against persons who are found involved in smuggling of DTH technology.
