Faisalabad I&I seizes foreign origin items during different operations

FAISALABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized various foreign origin items during their action.

According to details, Customs Intelligence and Investigation received credible information from their source that foreign origin goods will be transported in Faisalabad.

Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat constituted special team led by Intelligence Officer Muhammad Nasrullah, Sepoy Muhammad Shabaz, Havaldar Muhammad Iqbal and others.

During examination Customs intelligence of Faisalabad found some bags on the road side one person namely Amjad Ali stand with the bags. During checking of these bags customs team recovered foreign origin almonds 272 kilograms Iranian Mumtaz brand raisin kishmish 35 bags 805 kilogram, Khayam brand alu bukhara 105 kilograms.

Customs Intelligence teams asked the accused person to produce the import documents regarding the foreign origin items. He produced the import GDs to Customs Intelligence team of the said foreign origin goods but customs team found documents irrelevant and fake during examination.

Customs Intelligence teams decided to seize the foreign origin items after completion of verification.  Customs team after registering a case started investigations.
