Faisalabad I&I earms Rs9,91,00- through auction in October

FAISALABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation auction committee conducted auction of impounded vehicles and other smuggled goods after the permission of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and generated revenue of Rs9,91,100 through auction process during the month of October.

Deputy Director (DD) Irfan Shouqat told Customs Today that during different anti-smuggling operations, the Customs Intelligence team seized smuggled items under the Transit Trade Route from GT Road MI M2, M3 Faisalabad Sargodha and Sumandri and shifted the same to the State Warehouse.

The intelligence authority has registered the cases of seized goods and referred the cases to the Adjudication department for proceeding. After the conclusion of proceeding of the cases the court announced the judgment in favor of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.

Deputy Director Irfan Shouqat said that various parties participated in the bid of auction but only three parties offered attracted prices while Red chilli were sold in Rs 440000 foreign origin soap 50 cartons worth Rs 111100 and others different items worth Rs 440000.

It is to mention here that the Customs Intelligence and Investigation already expedited its efforts to generate more revenue to meet the assigned revenue target of the current Fiscal Year 2018.

The auction was held at the Customs Intelligence and Investigation office Amin Town Canal Road Faisalabad. Deputy Director Irfan Shouqat supervised the auction. He said the auction will strengthen revenue generation measures of the directorate.
