During the hearing, counsel for the accused argued that some criminal elements used CNIC of his client and made a fake company namely M/s Al-Hameed Corporation and issued fake/flying invoices for claiming input tax against fake import and fake local purchase.

He argued that his client is innocent and daily wages worker in local market and never knew who used his NIC for that purpose and he came to know that customs court issued his non bail-able warrants and customs officials were trying to arrest him.

After the hearing, court observed in its order that “without touching merits and demerits of the case, applicant is granted protective bail for the period of ten days from today enabling the applicant to surrender before the trail court subject to his furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs100,000, meanwhile the operation of non-bail-able warrants is suspended for the above-said stipulated period subject to furnishing surety’.
