Gwadar Customs seizes huge quantity of non-duty paid electronics accessories worth Rs6m

GWADAR: Collectorate of Customs team seized huge quantity of electronics accessories included juicer blenders, charging items, fans, LED lights extra worth Rs 6 million including vehicle being used for smuggling.

Sources told Customs Today  on Wednesday morning that Deputy Collector Gawadar Junaid Mehmood received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle electronics accessories including juicer blenders, charging items, (fans, LED lights) extra from Gwadar to different cities.

After receiving this information, he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Rao Imran, Pasha Zulfiqar and others. The team, during a search operation on Gwadar exit way intercepted a vehicle bearing registration no: GBM-8372.

During search, the team impounded more than 200 pieces of different kinds of juicer blenders, 200 pieces of charging fans and 1000 pieces of LED lights, different kinds of power codes worth Rs 6  million including truck being used in smuggling. The team seized all smuggled items and arrested truck driver. Sources told that customs officials started investigations from the accused.
