Quetta I&I foils bid to smuggle white crystal plastic dana worth Rs7.80m

QUETTA: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation foiled a bid to smuggle white crystal plastic dana worth Rs 7.80 million during special checking on Wednesday.

Sources told Customs Today that Director I&I Muhammad Akram Chaudhary received a tip-off that some smugglers are trying to smuggle white crystal plastic dana from Quetta to Afghanistan.

He constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Inspector Ibraheem Waseem, Raheel Khan and others. The team enhanced the surveillance on Quetta exit way and started searching of vehicles.

During the search operation, the team intercepted a truck bearing registration no: QGD-9373  which was going out of Quetta. During the checking, the customs team recovered 300 packets of white crystal plastic dana worth Rs 7.80 million including truck being used in the smuggling. The customs team after registering a case against the accused persons started investigations.
