LAHORE: Customs team deputed at Allama Iqbal International Airport foiled a bid to smuggle US$70,000 to Tehran.
According to details, a team of customs and FIA intercepted a passenger Gulfam Haider who was travelling from Lahore to Iran and recovered $70,000 from his possession which were tactfully hidden in his bag.
Customs team has started investigation into the matter and also arrested the accused as well. Customs team also confiscated the currency and registered a case against the accused and started investigations against him.
