Customs Intelligence Lahore seizes narcotics worth Rs15 million

LAHORE: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence Lahore seized huge quantity of narcotics being transported to Lahore from Peshawar.

On a tip-off, Director I&I Rubab Sikandar informed Deputy Director Usman Tariq regarding smuggling of contraband goods. The I&I team intercepted a car bearing registration no. MNA-07-5391 on Motorway. On checking, 8.5kg charas and 1.3kg opium were recovered in the cavity created in the fuel tank of the vehicle. A person namely Abdul Sattar transporting narcotics has been arrested.
