Colombo : Some officers are of Sri Lanka Customs are opposing a proposed appointment of an ex-Navy officer as director general and are beginning industrial action, official sources said.

The cabinet of ministers had given the nod for the finance ministry to appoint Retired Rear Admiral Shermal Fernando as Director General of Customs.
