FBR seeks monthly performance report for evaluation

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue directed Director General Intelligence and Investigation (Inland Revenue) to present performance report of all directorates including Multan Office for evaluation.

Sources told Customs Today the Federal Board of Revenue introduced monthly performance evaluation system for the officers of Inland Revenue to evaluate performance of different units every month.

The Federal Board of Revenue sought comprehensive report about the performance of different jurisdictions including Multan, Bahawalpur and others.

Performance management cell (PMC) of Federal Board of Revenue Headquarters, Islamabad will check the monthly performance of different units to bring improvement in their performance.

The Federal Board of Revenue will also do accountability of officers who have not satisfactory performed during the assigned tasks after evaluation. Performance evaluation system will assist Federal Board of Revenue to nominate those officials which are giving less efficiency and point out negligence of officers in any assigned task.

Monitoring of performance will also assist the FBR to check and verify periodical accomplishment of officer’s criterion for promotion and incentives. It will maintain a proper system of performance, competence and conduct of officers to rectify their carelessness during different tasks.

Monthly report is critical for assessing the performance of officers based on their assigned tasks throughout month. Director General Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue sent the monthly performance report of current month on 31st January.
