Customs North Region surpasses assigned revenue collection target for January

ISLAMABAD: The Customs North Region surpassed assigned customs duty target with extra collection of Rs119 million during month of January of Fiscal Year 2018-19.

Under the leadership of Collector Wasif Memon, Customs North Region which comprises Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot and Gilgit Baltistan earned Rs1118 million under head of customs duty (CD) against assigned revenue collection target of Rs999 million.

While the North Region received Rs1533 million under head of sales tax against assigned target of Rs1649 million while it obtained Rs38.86 million under head of federal excise duty (FED) against assigned target of Rs182 million as well as it received Rs730 million under head of income tax (IT) against assigned target of Rs734 million.

The North Region fetched Rs3421.52 million of revenue under head of all duty and taxes against assigned revenue collection target of Rs3564 million.
