After the hearing, court allowed them to investigate the suspect at the office of jail superintendent of Malir Karachi.

It needs to be mentioned here that NAB officials had filed petition for seeking custody of Abdul Ghani Majeed, however, after arguments, court had rejected NAB petition and observed that court has no power to allow giving custody of said suspect who is already confined in jail.

However, Jamshad Malik advocate had opposed and argued that NAB has no power to take custody of an accused already confined in Jail in judicial remand. After hearing the arguments, court reserved order and directed both parties to submit their written comments.

On the other side, two-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh had dismissed petition filed by Khowaja Abdul Ghani Majeed son of Anwar Majeed, Omni Groups chairman seeking bail before arrest against warrants and call-up notice issued by chairman NAB.
