Shipping activity at Port Qasim on April 23

KARACHI:Three ships namely MSC Heidi, MC Busan and As Aries carrying containers were allotted berths at Port Qasim International Containers Terminal (QICT) on Monday.

While two other ships Constantinos and Forest Park carrying Gasoline and Edible Oil respectively also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

A total ten ships were occupying PQA berths to load/offload containers, coal, Palm Kernel, Palm Oil and Condensente.

A cargo volume of 82716 tonnes, comprising 70166 tonnes imports cargo and 12550 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2295 containers (TEUs), (1745 TEUs imports and 550 TEUs exports) was handled at the port during the last 24 hours.

Four ships, MSC Asya, MSK Kinloss, Mariman and LNG Orato carrying Containers, Coal and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, PIBTand EETL on Tuesday.
