Faisalabad Customs collects Rs 8164.289m

FAISALABAD: Collectorate of Customs collected Rs8164.289 million during July-April of fiscal year 2019 against the set target of Rs 12531.27 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Appraisement collected revenue under the heads of customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED) during the above-said period.

According to revenue statistics, the Collectorate collected Rs3362.930 million under the head of customs duty against the set target of Rs3674 million from July to April.

The Collectorate collected Rs4645.796 million under the head of sales tax (ST) during the above-said period against the set target of Rs9733 million.

The Collectorate collected Rs155.398 million under the head of income tax (IT) during the above-said period against the assigned target of Rs124 million. The Collectorate collected revenue of Rs 0.165 million against the set target of Rs0.27 million.

It is pertinent to mention here that Assistant Collector Ameer Ahmed directed to further expedite the pace of revenue generation for getting more effective results.
