Customs employees should work with full dedication: Chief Collector Asif Jah

ISLAMABAD: Chief Collector North Region Asif Mehmood Jah has said that he is proud on retired officers of Customs department who successfully completed 35 years in serving the country.

He was addressing a farewell ceremony which was organized in honor of customs superintends who were retired during month of May 2019.

The Chief Collector North region who was chief guest on the occasion said, “These five retired customs officers are our family members who have now reached on their retirement age after spending a successful tenure of 35 years in Customs department”.

He said the officials and officers of Customs department should work with honesty, adding that ‘we all should keep in mind that this department is our honor and provides us distinction’.

He said that an official could get retire from his service but old memories live forever with him as well as with the department. He advised the retired officers to make themselves busy after retirement because a busy routine keeps a person fit physically as well as mentally.

Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Seema Bokhari and Additional Collector Ashfaq Khan also participated in the farewell event while at the end of the ceremony Chief Collector North and Collector MCC Islamabad presented souvenirs to the retired officers.
