Multan Adjudication issues show cause notice to owner of HSD

MULTAN: Additional Collector Adjudication Talib Hussain issued a show-cause notice to owner of non-duty paid High Speed Diesel (HSD) seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization.

According to details, Anti-Smuggling Organization impounded a Hino oil tanker and recovered huge quantity of non-duty paid HSD on the credible information from source. Customs anti-smuggling squad recovered 38000 liters High Speed Diesel during vigilant patrolling near Muzaffargarh.

Customs anti-smuggling squad framed the seizure against seized oil tanker filled with huge quantity of diesel. The truck was coming from Balochistan to Multan for transportation of non-duty paid High Speed Diesel.

Multan Customs team searched the suspected oil tanker bearing registration number TUD- 573/ Lasbella and recovered huge quantity of High Speed Diesel. Customs teams found that recovered High Speed Diesel was of Iran origin.

Multan Customs Anti-smuggling team asked the driver of the truck to produce legal documents of recovered High Speed Diesel but he failed to produce any import documents of the recovered High Speed Diesel to justify the legal possession.

Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization forwarded the seizure case to Customs Adjudication for trial of seized HSD worth Rs2.9 million. The value of seized High Tanker was almost Rs 5 million.

Additional Collector Talib Hussain issued show-cause notice to owner Qaiser Khan Son of Abdul Nabi resident of Jaffarabad in smuggling of HSD case and directed him to submit reply of notice within 10 days for further proceedings.
